The first giant pandas born in Canada have now been officially named: Jia Panpan, which means Canadian Hope, is the male cub, and his sister is named Jia Yueyue, which means Canadian Joy. The cubs were joined by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne (pictured above) and other special guests. The cubs have been away in a special maternity area of the zoo until now.
The cuddly cubs have officially survived their infancy, after reaching their 100th day in January. So cute!
